Hitler’s Revolution: Ideology, Social Programs, Foreign Affairs
(005320.38-E003569.93NHORLOSUC20V)
Drawing on over 200 German sources, many pre-1945, Hitler’s Revolution provides concise, penetrating insight into the National Socialist ideology and how it transformed German society. The government’s success at relieving unemployment and its social programs to eliminate class barriers unlock the secret to Hitler’s undeniable popularity which, in light of war crimes, seems so incomprehensible today.
Documents from German, Soviet and British archives help illuminate the diplomatic atmosphere of the times and the challenge Hitler confronted when weighing foreign policy decisions. Evidence shows that these were often spontaneous reaction to fluctuating political constellations rather than planned long in advance. During the war, oppressive German measures in occupied countries invited criticism from within Germany as the National Socialist dogma, particularly the race theory, began losing influence in official circles and the military.
An in-depth analysis of Hitler’s wartime campaigns, especially Stalingrad and Normandy, reveals that the German resistance not only plotted to topple the regime, but systematically sabotaged combat operations causing the German army catastrophic defeats. The motive, historical records demonstrate, was not so idealistic as popularly believed. The author researched primarily German records, to present readers in the United States and Great Britain with information never before translated into English and otherwise inaccessible to them. Expanded edition with over 100 illustrations and 328 pages.

If you want to know the TRUTH about Germany under Adolf Hitler’s reign, this book is it. I’ve read quite a few books about this era and this one is in the top five, easily. For those of you, like me most of my life, who think Hitler was the embodiment of evil, this book will enlighten you that that couldn’t be further from the truth. He was a man who loved his people and his nation. Unfortunately, my country, the United States (which I served), was one of the evil, to a monstrous degree, players in WWII. Had Hitler and Germany prevailed, the world would have been a much better place. Instead, communism took over half of Europe and began spreading from there.
5.0 out of 5 stars The victors write the narrative.

Read it and decide for yourself. As patton once quoted “ We fought the wrong enemy” he was dead soon after saying this!

With a very well-cited and well-explained book, Tedor has told the true story of the German people during WWII and the pre-war period and how it was actually Poland and France who instigated the defining conflict of the 20th Century and England and the United States, with heavily-biased propaganda and outright lies, who turned it from a military conflict between European powers over land and treatment of peoples into a global war over economic and political power while selling it to their respective peoples as a crusade against tyranny. While it does seem clear Tedor is somewhat sympathetic to the German cause, with the literal tons of books written on the topic that are so heavily biased in the other direction, a little bit of leeway and understanding can be given.
Tedor largely sidesteps mention of mistreatment of Jews and the Holocaust, as those atrocities have been amply and thoroughly covered, even to the point of dwelling.
Any student of politics, history or sociology should absolutely read this book, or consider themselves uninformed and lied to. Because they were never given the facts and information which Tedor displays in his book (very thoroughly cited and verified, by the way), the vast majority of people today are missing out on 90% of the picture and are very likely still believing the pre-war, post-war and wartime propaganda and lies about Germany, Adolf Hitler, National Socialism and fascism in general. Do not be one of those people.

This is one of the fairest books you’ll ever read about Hitler and the National Socialist movement. The research is fantastic. No doubt the average person would call the book “anti-Semitic” or possibly even an apology for “Nazism.” But that would be mere propaganda. In reality, this book is very fair, meticulously researched, and covers topics most mainstream books on the subject won’t ever touch. If you’re looking for a little truth on the murky subject of World War II, this book has quite a lot of it. Check it out for yourself.
